A month after King Charles opened the Canadian parliament during a quick visit with Queen Camilla, Prince Edward was welcomed warmly to Canada as he began his official visit.
The Duke of Edinburgh departed for Canada on Wednesday, according to British media, for a seven-day solo tour that will end on July 2.
King Charles’ youngest brother will travel to various locations, including Toronto, as part of a series of royal engagements.
Canadian media reports that Edward made his first public appearance on Prince Edward Island at Abegweit First Nation, where he visited cultural healing grounds, spoke with Mi’kmaq families, and attended a drum circle.
