According to the most recent rankings published by the international citizenship and residency advice firm Henley & Partners, the Pakistani passport presently grants entry to 32 countries without a visa or with a visa upon arrival.
The passport is presently ranked 100th out of 199 countries, which represents a minor improvement in its global position.
The development comes at the same time as Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have reached an agreement to relax travel restrictions for specific types of tourists.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the reciprocal exemption of entry visas for bearers of official and diplomatic passports was signed by both nations on Wednesday.
