Videos and pictures indicating that the State Bank of Pakistan has redesigned the Rs1,000 currency note are all over social media.
The statements are false.

With the caption, “The State Bank of Pakistan has issued a brand new Rs1,000 currency note, featuring a modern design and equipped with the latest security and printing technology,” a Facebook user shared images of what looked to be a newly designed Rs1,000 note on June 22.
Instagram and TikTok also shared similar claims.
The truth
The Pakistani central bank has not released a new Rs 1,000 note.
“Fake” is how State Bank chief spokeswoman Noor Ahmed described the internet claims to Geo Fact Check.
