While touring Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, with the renowned “Annabelle” doll, paranormal investigator Dan Rivera passed away on Sunday.
During the three-show weekend “Devils on the Run” tour, which included the Raggedy Ann-style doll that many people think is demonically possessed, Rivera, 43, was discovered unconscious in his hotel room.
He was declared dead at the site after emergency personnel attempted CPR. Authorities and the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), where Rivera was the primary investigator, have not disclosed the cause of death.
Rivera, a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, rose to fame as a consultant producer on Netflix’s 28 Days Haunted and on the Travel Channel’s Most Haunted Places.
