For the second day in a row, the price of gold fell precipitously both in Pakistan and internationally.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reports that the price of 24-karat gold was down Rs3,000 a tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs356,000. In a similar vein, 10 grams of gold now cost Rs305,212, down Rs2,572.
A significant shift was also observed in the world gold market, as the price of gold per ounce dropped by $30 to $3,335.
However, the price of silver in Pakistan was steady, with 10 kilos of silver costing Rs3,441 and a tola of 24-karat silver remaining at Rs4,014.
