In the charming hill station of Murree, ongoing monsoon rains have caused a large landslide on Salgran GT Road, injuring Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas and seriously damaging the area.
The district administration claims that torrential rainfall caused a significant section of the GT Road near Salgran to be washed away, forcing authorities to immediately block all traffic on the route. Until further notice, commuters and visitors are encouraged to use the alternate Murree Expressway.
During the site inspection, Murree DC was hurt.
In a shocking development, Murree DPO Asif Amin Awan and Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi paid a visit to the landslide scene on Thursday.
