In reaction to the possibility of floods and the rising water levels in the province’s eastern rivers, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a flood warning effective July 21.
The following is a 24-hour forecast for river water flow:
New Rasool on the River Jhelum is predicted to have a high-level flood.
At Mangla, a flood of moderate intensity is anticipated.
The divisions of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad are likely to experience urban flooding.
On the River Indus, a low-level flood is anticipated at the Tarbela, Kalabagh, and Chashma Barrage.
According to a PDMA spokeswoman, rivers may experience flooding starting on July 21. The Deputy Commissioners in Jhelum, as well as the Commissioners in Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, and Faisalabad.
