In reaction to the current weather, the Punjab government has implemented Section 144 throughout the province.
A notice prohibiting swimming in dams, rivers, canals, ponds, and lakes in any form has been issued, according to the Punjab Home Department. Additionally, bathing in rainwater that has accumulated in streets, roads, open spaces, and other public areas is forbidden under the order.
Boating in dams, rivers, canals, ponds, and lakes without permission has also been outlawed.
The department said that the Section 144 limitations will be in effect until August 30.
According to the home department, the prohibition was put in place as a preventative measure to protect human life given the present weather conditions.
