ISLAMABAD According to a national study conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR), which The News published, the majority of Pakistanis think democracy is essential to the stability of their nation.
According to the survey, which surveyed more than 1,000 people nationwide, 89% of respondents said they had complete faith in the democratic system and thought it was crucial to Pakistan’s progress and long-term stability.
Meanwhile, 4% of respondents did not answer the question, while 7% were against democracy.
According to the survey, 43% of respondents were fully satisfied with the current democratic system, whereas 54% said they were not.
When asked which kind of administration would be ideal for Pakistan, 65% of respondents chose a democratic one, while 19% chose an Islamic one.
