To increase its operations throughout Punjab, the Crime Control Department (CCD) has asked for 290 kanals of land, Rs11 billion in cash, and the hiring of 10,000 staff members.
Official reports claim that the CCD has formally demanded that the province government erect police lines on the prospective property. The construction of 38 police stations and officer housing is the intended use of the proposed monies.
To strengthen its monitoring capabilities, the agency has also requested ten locators manufactured in Germany and 100 sophisticated drones. According to officials, the extra resources would be used to stabilize the province’s law enforcement presence and break up organized crime networks.
