ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Friday the federal government’s steadfast dedication to aiding the families impacted by the recent floods and storms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which claimed over 460 lives.
PM Shehbaz promised to speed up the restoration process in the flood-affected areas of KP while speaking before a federal cabinet meeting.
The recent episodes of intense rains, cloudbursts, and flash floods that have devastated the whole province, particularly Swat, Swabi, Mansehra, and Shangla, deeply concerned the premier.
Beginning in the mountainous northwest, the worst of this year’s monsoon and cloudbursts caused flash floods that have moved to other regions of the 240 million-person nation, causing widespread death and destruction.
