Customers should anticipate decreased energy expenses for the remainder of 2024, according to a research group, citing that bills are currently at their highest point of the year.
According to a widely followed prediction by Cornwall Insight, the average user’s annual energy costs will decrease to £1,635 from April to June.
In contrast, the average annual expenditure from January to March was £1,928. But Cornwall expects bills to be lower for the remainder of the year.
The lowest energy expenses in the last two years would follow from such a decline.
As long as energy prices stay higher than they were before the outbreak, many households will continue to face hardships.
However, concerns of a price increase brought on by time-consuming and expensive Red Sea shipping detours because the Houthis targeted shipping boats have not materialized.
