ISLAMABAD: According to The News, Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Albert Khorev, has denied accusations that Pakistani armaments are being provided to Ukraine through a third country, claiming that Islamabad has guaranteed Moscow that no third party will do so.
During a news event in the federal capital, Khorev stated that Russia hopes Pakistan would continue its policy on the topic.
The Russian envoy further stated that the West could not tolerate good relations between Islamabad and Moscow.
On the tenth anniversary of the Ukrainian rebellion, the Russian envoy gave a briefing to the Pakistani media and answered questions about the situation in Ukraine.
He added they are grateful to the government of Pakistan for wanting an independent attitude to the Russia–Ukraine conflict. He stated that this is why Pakistan did not vote against Russia at the United Nations the other day.
Russia attempted to resolve the crisis by reaching an agreement from the outset, he stated.
Khorev stated that, despite this, Ukraine imposed a restriction on consultation with Russia, and that unless Ukraine eliminates this restriction and demonstrates sincerity about the subject, the conflict cannot be resolved.
He stated that the US army is engaged in secret activities in Ukraine that must be probed and that Americans have also participated in army-related studies. He stated that there is no timetable or deadline for stopping the Russian armed action. He stated, “We appeal to the media to provide impartial reportage on the Russia-Ukraine war.”
Ten years ago, the situation in Ukraine was under control, but the West encouraged extreme elements in the nation. On February 21, 2014, the president of Ukraine struck an agreement with opposition leaders to resolve the political crisis and form a government of national unity. Its objective was also to pass constitutional modifications and then hold general elections.
Despite this, the opposition declared the president’s resignation the next day and forced the government to abandon the Constitution, while the US and so-called guarantor countries, including the European Union, disregarded and opposed it. It provided the groundwork for instability and discord in the local population.
