Meta stated on Wednesday that it has released a new text formatting upgrade for WhatsApp, which includes exciting new capabilities to improve your messaging experience.
The update includes four new text formatting choices to help you arrange and beautify your messages.
Bulleted lists, numbered lists, block quotes, and inline code have been added to the set of formatting options, which already includes bold, italics, and monospace.
The best part is that these new options are available on a variety of platforms, including iOS, Android, Mac, and web. This means that you can use these capabilities regardless of what platform you’re using.
Here’s how you can use WhatsApp’s new text formatting features:
For bulleted lists.
Type the – symbol, then a space.
For numbered lists.
Type one or two digits, followed by a period and a space.
For block quote.
Type the > symbol followed by a space.
For inline code.
Wrap text using the symbol ‘.
And if you’re unfamiliar with WhatsApp’s text formatting options, here are the shortcuts to use the original ones:
Wrap bold text with the * sign.
To wrap text in italic, use the _ symbol.
To strikethrough, wrap the text with the ~ sign.
To use monospace, wrap text with the” sign.
So, take advantage of these new text formatting possibilities to make your messages more visually appealing and structured. Happy texting!
