Customs agents at Lahore Airport seized 70 bottles of alcohol from two women’s bags during a regular examination. However, unlike in a prior incident in which hundreds of mobile phones were confiscated from a passenger, the women were not arrested and no charges were brought against them.
The authorities discovered 70 bottles of alcohol stashed in the luggage of two female passengers. Surprisingly, no quick action was taken against the women, such as arrest or filing a case.
This event occurred shortly after customs officials, based on a tip from the Intelligence Bureau, took three hundred mobile phones from another passengers luggage.
During the recent alcohol seizure, customs officers were apparently performing protocol procedures for the female passengers, signaling a potential security breach.
