A fierce gunfight broke out between two passengers on a crowded Brooklyn train Thursday afternoon, and the suspected agitator was shot in the head by a straphanger, according to the New York Post.
According to New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief Michael Kemper, a fight broke out between a 32-year-old and a “aggressive” 36-year-old on northbound Train A.
According to video seized by the police, the 36-year-old can be heard and seen inciting the other man while throwing profanity.
The two men quickly began fighting, pouncing on one another.
During the altercation, the accused aggressor, who appeared to be holding a knife or razor, pulled a revolver from his black jacket.
Following that, the train erupted in screams, with additional passengers racing to the opposite end.
The 32-year-old, whose name has not been released, snatched the rifle and shot him many times.
When the train came to a stop, all of the other passengers jumped out, while police arrived at the station and captured the shooter.
According to reports, the man was shot six times and remains in critical condition. Police believe the two males are utter strangers.
