The singer of About Damn Time, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, doesn’t specify what she is talking about or what prompted the statement on the internet.
But it happens just one day after an attorney for three former dancers who sued Lizzo in August of last year called it “shameful” that the singer was the main attraction at a Radio City fundraiser for President Joe Biden “amid such egregious allegations.”
Lizzo, 35, wrote, “I am tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet,” in an Instagram post.
As she ended the message, she uttered, “I did not sign up for this sh**t.” I said, using emoticons, “I am quitting.”
Claiming that Lizzo had created a toxic work environment and harassed them sexually, ex-dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez filed a lawsuit against Lizzo and her production company in August of last year.
The pop diva said at the time that the claims are “gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing” and that they are “as unbelievable as they sound.”
