Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, has urged the international community to put pressure on Israel to end its treatment of the Palestinian people.
In his speech on Juma tul Wida and the International Day of Al-Quds, he vehemently condemned the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza.
He added that 32,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children, had died in Gaza since October of last year, and another 70,000 had been injured. Access to humanitarian supplies has been purposefully restricted, and hospitals, refugee camps, and children’s schools have all been targeted.
He lamented that the unprovoked bombing of defenseless civilians in Gaza persisted in spite of the UN security council’s decision calling for a ceasefire.
According to the prime minister, Pakistan would help its armless Palestinian brothers and sisters diplomatically and morally till the Palestinian people are freed the creation of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders and the Israeli occupation.
On the occasion of Juma tul Wida, Prime Minister Shehbaz urged Muslims everywhere, especially those in Pakistan, to remember their brethren who are Palestinians and Kashmiris and to pray to God Almighty for a solution to their problems.
In addition, on the occasion of Juma tul Wida, he urged the people to pray for Pakistan’s peace, security, growth, and prosperity.
