Mir Hassan, a police officer who tortured a woman and two children on a moving train outside of Hyderabad on April 7, was given bail by a local court in Hyderabad on Saturday.
After the unsettling occurrence aboard the Millat Express from Karachi to Lala Musa, Hassan, who is based in Hyderabad, was placed under arrest.
The accused was brought before Judicial Magistrate Munir Ahmed’s court, who granted his request for bail in exchange for a Rs35,000 surety bond.
The policeman was shown repeatedly striking the woman while gripping her hair in a video that went viral on social media, capturing the assault as other passengers looked on passively.
The woman was heard asking, “Why are you hitting? ” on the video. Avoid beating.”
According to Abdullah Sheikh, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for Railways, the event happened on April 7 on the Millat Express, which left Karachi and traveled toward Hyderabad.
The cop was recognized, according to the DIG, after the video went viral, and a charge has been filed against him while an inquiry into the incident is still ongoing.
News claims that the constable arrived to go over the woman’s ticket after learning that she was traveling without a pass.
The woman was tormented by the policeman in front of her kids after she denied traveling without a ticket during the inspection.
