In the midst of a crucial election campaign, experts have offered their opinions on whether or not former US President Donald Trump will be found guilty in his continuing hush money trial.
Despite the compelling evidence against Trump, former US attorney Kevin C. McMunigal believes it is improbable that he would go to jail, as the Mirror stated.
“In terms of consequences, I think there is almost no chance of him receiving a jail sentence given his age, the fact that he has no prior convictions, and that the offenses in the case are nonviolent and don’t appear to have caused any harm,” said McMunigal.
Trump, 77, could spend between 15 months and 4 years in prison for each of the 34 counts of falsifying records against him.
