The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has issued a weather warning for Wednesday due to the extreme weather that the country in the Gulf has been experiencing for the past three days, including thunderstorms and lightning.
As the weather is predicted to worsen, the officials also gave instructions to government personnel and schools to stay at home and only leave their homes when absolutely necessary.
The Khaleej Times says that rescue operations were halted due to urban flooding in significant regions of the UAE, including Dubai and Sharjah, as a result of Tuesday’s record-breaking rainfall.
