Mr. Morrison identifies the “unrelenting and callous brutality of politics” and “pure physical exhaustion” as the main causes of his troubles in a new book.
By telling his story, he hoped to “de-stigmatize” mental illness.
In a quote made public by The Australian, Mr. Morrison stated, “My doctor was amazed I had lasted as long as I had.”
“Serious depression would have emerged in the absence of this assistance.
“Politicians are not made of stone, yet they’re often treated as though they are, including by each other,” he said.
The conservative Prime Minister of Australia from 2018 to 2022, Mr. Morrison, stated on social media that he wished to “normalize” something.
