On April 10, Galena disappeared. Her parents, with the assistance of family and friends, searched their home and neighborhood without finding her, leaving them puzzled about her whereabouts.
Owner Carrie Clark reported that on April 17, she received a text message letting her know that Galena’s microchip had been scanned. news TV is an affiliate of News.
She received a call from a Californian veterinarian right away.
“I didn’t believe her at first and thought it was a prank,” she stated in the news.
When we realized that Galena had to have leaped into an enormous box that we had shipped off the Wednesday before, we broke down and I hurried to notify my husband that she had been discovered.
“The box was a ‘try before your buy’ and filled with steel-toed work boots.”
For six days, Galena had been confined inside without access to food or water.
