Driver Brad Keselowski of the NASCAR Cup Series won the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, marking his first victory in three years.
Keselowski ran a celebratory lap to commemorate his triumph. While supporters in South Carolina applauded him, he held the American flag outside his No. 6 Castrol vehicle.
Paige, Keselowski’s wife, shared a video of their daughter carrying the American flag he was holding to school on social media on Monday.
Paige Keselowski posted, “No one is happier than this girl,” on the news. “She wanted to take the race-winning flag to school today so her class could use it for the pledge of allegiance.”
Tyler Reddick slid late in the race, allowing Brad Keselowski to take the lead.
