As seen by a driver’s dashboard camera in California, the patrol car of a Los Angeles County deputy went airborne on Wednesday after it collided with another vehicle at a busy intersection.
The collision occurred at the Santa Clarita intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon Road just before 12:30 p.m.
On camera, the deputy is seen driving through the intersection when a gold Lexus smashes into the side of the cruiser. The police car is thrown into the air and spins, coming to a stop right-side up after colliding with a silver SUV at a stop sign.
Dashcam witness Allen Rapisura said of the collision, “[It] just happened so fast,” to news in Los Angeles. “It’s like something you see in the movies.”
