“A number of parties who have made proposals in relation to, or expressed interest in, either of the group’s divisions,” according to De La Rue, were being discussed.
It follows a strategic evaluation of the currency and authentication divisions of the Basingstoke-based business.
The company makes banknotes for international central banks.
It recently worked with the Bank of England to produce new banknotes with the King’s picture that will be on sale on June 5.
De La Rue emphasized that there was no guarantee that any agreement would come from the negotiations.
Chairman Clive Whiley stated: “The board has examined a wide variety of issues since my appointment a year ago.
The board attests to the progress of the talks with the pertinent parties, and we anticipate providing more information when the full-year results are released in July.”
It happened as the business announced that it was sticking to its earlier financial projections for the year ending in March.
In addition, De La Rue stated that there had been many “significant recent contract wins and renewals” and “positive momentum” throughout its divisions.
