The 35-year-old volunteer medic Dolev Yehud’s body was discovered in the border community where he resided.
Israel’s military verified the remains belonged to Mr. Yehud, whose name has also been spelled Yehoud, following what it called extensive forensics.
It stated that he was one of the many kibbutz members of Nir Oz that perished.
According to Israeli media, Mr. Yehud’s wife Sigal, who was nine months pregnant on October 7, gave birth to their fourth child nine days after the incident.
In southern Israeli villages, the Hamas attack claimed the lives of almost 1,200 people and kidnapped another 250.
The Gaza Health agency, administered by Hamas, reports that over 36,000 Palestinians have died as a result of Israeli ground operations and airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. The agency does not make a distinction between civilians and fighters.

It occurs during the weekend’s tens of thousands of demonstrators’ rally in Tel Aviv demanding the resignation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin.
