On Tuesday, American pop sensation Pink will ignite the party in front of a sold-out crowd in Wales, kicking off the European leg of her Summer Carnival Tour.
Authorities have warned of possible traffic disruptions on the M4 motorway and have closed one railway line out of the city, so tens of thousands of fans are expected to arrive in Cardiff ahead of Tuesday’s performance.
For the first time in five years, the artist will be performing at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Beginning in the middle of the afternoon, all city center roads will be closed.
The Welsh capital will be the starting point of her European tour, after which she will play nine shows in mainland Europe, London, Dublin, Liverpool, and Glasgow.
The 44-year-old triple Grammy Award winner, Pink, expressed her excitement at returning to Wales in the month of the Principality Stadium’s 25th anniversary.
“It’s been far too long since I’ve been in Wales,” Pink, whose songs include “So What,” “Just Give Me a Reason,” and “Get The Party Started,” continued.
The singer’s ninth studio album, Trustfall, was released last year. The Summer Carnival tour is her first performance since a presentation in Queensland, Australia, in March.
