At the Government Dispensary in the Mithi District of Tharparkar, the Pakistan Army arranged a free medical camp in cooperation with physicians from the District Health Quarters.
Over 1,000 patients—285 men, 413 women, and 316 children—received extensive medical care at the camp.
Expert physicians from multiple disciplines, such as internal medicine, pathology, gynecology, and pediatrics, were in attendance to share their knowledge.
Laboratory testing for dengue, malaria, hepatitis B and C, enteric fever, pregnancy, urine RE, blood sugar, and ultrasound was made possible at the camp.
The patients also received free vitamins and medications, and a small OT facility was made available.
In order to encourage safe and hygienic behaviors, vaccinations were given, and patients as well as community health visitors and midwives received hygiene and first aid kits.
Medical advice on conditions like anemia, UTIs, malaria, dengue fever, gastroenteritis, diabetes, hypertension, and prenatal care was also given at the camp.
Women’s health concerns received particular focus, such as dermatitis, urticaria, pruritus, and infertility, as well as healthcare for mothers and children.
