Punjab will launch an anti-polio campaign on May 26, according to health officials.
Details indicate that the vaccine campaign will run until June 1 in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi, and end on May 30 in other Punjabi regions.
The Civil Secretariat hosted a meeting of the Provincial Task Force on Polio Eradication. Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman attended, while Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir served as its chair.
The polio virus’s decreasing prevalence in environmental samples throughout the province was reported to officials. According to reports, the April campaign had a 98 percent success rate.
