KARACHI: The injured camel, who was moved from Sanghar to Karachi for treatment, is expected to stand up for the first time since having her leg viciously severed earlier this month, allegedly by a landlord and his workers, after being promised an artificial leg.
The camel was taken to CDRS Benji, a nearby non-governmental organization (NGO) in Karachi, where she has been receiving treatment, following the horrific event.
Sarah Jahangir, Director of CDRS Benji Project for Animal Welfare, told Geo.tv that after the camel’s wounds completely healed, she would receive a replacement leg. She also disclosed that the animal has advanced significantly under her care.
