The Oscar-winning actor was captured on camera interacting with admirers in downtown Phoenix, seeming to respond to a query on his unexplained health issue.
The short video was uploaded to TikTok by a fan called Dr. Brenda Combs, and it features Foxx outside of a café. She is dressed in a black T-shirt and white shorts.
The 56-year-old stated, “I had a terrible headache on April 11 of last year, so I asked my boy for an Advil,” and continued by clicking his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days.” Nothing comes to mind.
Then he gave an explanation, saying, “They told me that my sister and daughter had taken me to the first doctor while I was in Atlanta.
The doctor who followed stated, “There’s something going on up there,” and Foxx gestured up to his head.
“I won’t say it on camera,” he said as he finished, turning to face the person recording him.
After leaving the hospital, he made his first significant public appearance in December at the Critics Choice Awards, where he received a Vanguard Award for his role in the comedy-drama The Burial.
Foxx told the crowd that his illness had left him unable to walk and that the battle to recover had given him “a new respect for life… [and] for my art” as he accepted the prize.
