According to Iowa court records that news was able to obtain, Junior Manuel Dubon Benitez, 18, was accused of second-degree sexual abuse. The claimed event, which took place in February, concerned “sexual abuse upon Jane Doe, a 12-year-old child.”
The Washington Examiner broke the story of the documents first, stating that on May 14, Benitez entered a guilty plea in Iowa District Court located in Black Hawk County.

According to ICE, the prison has given it a detainer, which is a request that, upon his release, the agency turn him over so that it can start removal proceedings.
