33 key performance indicators (KPIs) constitute the foundation of the performance-based evaluation system, which will be used to assess police officials’ work.
The system will assign marks to officials based on the accomplishment of certain goals, like: Three points for quickly resolving cases; Three points for lowering crime rates; Four points for preventing aerial firing and kite flying; and Four points for thwarting terrorist plots and making arrests in high-value operations.
Conversely, in the event that officials perform poorly, they will lose three points for each of the following: failing to settle cases in a timely manner; and failing to lower crime rates.
Officers who don’t do well for three straight months will also be transferred as a result of the performance-based evaluation system.
