Gloria Allred made the remark following the collapse of the actor’s criminal manslaughter prosecution. Allred is a civil trial attorney representing Ms. Hutchins’ parents and sister.
Baldwin made his first statement following the case’s dismissal on Friday.
He posted on Instagram, saying, “There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now.”
“To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family,” he said.
Yesterday, the involuntary manslaughter charge against Baldwin for Ms. Hutchins’ fatal shooting on the Rust set was dropped.
The 66-year-old award-winning actor sobbed and hugged attorneys after judge Mary Marlowe Sommer’s ruling.
She concurred with his attorneys that police and prosecutors had concealed information on the source of the live ammunition that murdered Ms. Hutchins, 42, in 2021.
Three days after the Santa Fe, New Mexico, trial started and eighteen months after the allegations were brought, she dismissed the case.
