LONDON: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has named well-known British-Pakistani businessman Syed Qamar Raza as its chairman, according to the Government of Pakistan.
The nomination of Raza was authorized by the federal cabinet subsequent to its review of the summary presented by the Human Resource Development Division and Pakistanis living abroad on July 23.
The federal cabinet agreed and published a notification announcing the appointment of Shaheen Khalid Butt, Afzaal Bhatti, Oneza Butt, Shamsher Rao, and a few more secretaries with bureaucratic duties as independent members.
“In my new role, I will work hard to help resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis, who are Pakistan’s biggest asset,” he stated in an interview with Geo News.
“The Pakistani government acknowledges the significance of Pakistanis living abroad and views them as the foundation of the country.”They have demonstrated this by their dedication to Pakistan’s well-being. I’ll be using my position to do my hardest to find a solution to their problems.
Raza stated that investing in Pakistanis living abroad has enormous potential to boost Pakistan’s economy.
He declared: “It is imperative that Pakistanis living abroad unite in order to pool their resources and strive toward improving Pakistan’s lot.
“We’ll see to it that Pakistani nationals living abroad are consulted on all matters pertaining to them. We’ll do every effort to advance Pakistanis living abroad.”
