In a list published by Forbes Advisor, Karachi, the largest urban metropolis in Pakistan, is the second riskiest city in the world.
The port city comes in second only behind Caracas, Venezuela, on a list derived from a comparison of 60 global cities based on seven important parameters. Crime, health, personal safety, infrastructure, natural disasters, and digital security are some of the metrics or risk factors.
Forbes Advisor states that Karachi poses the greatest risk to an individual’s personal safety. This takes into account the danger of crime, violence, threats from terrorism, natural disasters, and economic vulnerabilities.
Furthermore, it is ranked second among vacation destinations with the lowest level of safety by the State Department. Additionally, the port city poses the fourth-highest risk to infrastructure security.
