The success of the project is demonstrated by the fact that more than five million people in Lahore enjoy free internet access, according to a statement released today by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
According to her, Safe Cities initiatives will shortly begin operations in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala before expanding to eighteen other cities in Punjab.
The free Wi-Fi service in Lahore was extended from 100 to 200 sites per Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab,’s orders.
