ISLAMABAD: According to the most recent census for 2023, Balochistan saw the most rate of population growth, rising by 3.2%, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) saw the lowest rate, rising by 2.38% from the previous census, The News said on Monday.
According to a comprehensive Census Report 2023 report published by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the population of the nation increased by 2.55% in 2023.
The research states that Pakistan’s population grew at an average yearly rate of 2.45% in 1961 and has since shown both growing and falling patterns.
It also stated that the average population growth rate of the nation rose to 3.69% in 1972, dropped to 4.06% in 1981, and then increased to 2.55% last year.
