24-karat gold was sold for Rs. 262,500 the day before, but on Tuesday it was traded at Rs. 261,500, a fall of Rs. 1,000.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold fell by Rs857 as well, selling for Rs224,194 as opposed to Rs225,051, while the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold dropped to Rs205,511 from Rs206,297. The price of 10-gram and per-tola silver stayed at Rs. 2,529.14 and Rs. 2,950, respectively.
According to the organization, the price of gold dropped by $5 to $2,498 on the global market from $2,503.
