A landslide struck the passenger carriage, killing two army soldiers and one civilian, according to Rescue 1122 representative Abdul Rehman.
A huge boulder rolled over the Northern Areas Transport Company’s passenger coach, badly injuring four persons as it traveled from Rawalpindi to Gilgit.
After ambulances and Rescue 1122 personnel raced to the scene, they were taken to the Dasu DHQ hospital, where physicians declared Sultan Mehmood, a resident of Rawalpindi, and residents Imtiaz Hussain, a resident of Gilgit, and Sangal Hussain, a resident of the Yasin area of Ghizer, both of whom were identified as army soldiers, dead.
After suffering serious injuries, Dilshad Qamar, a resident of Rawalpindi, was sent to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital in Abbottabad, where it was determined that his condition was not life-threatening.
