TV personality A court magistrate in Lahore has placed Dr. Omar Adil in jail on judicial remand after he was accused of using derogatory words towards women.
The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) plea for a physical remand was turned down by the court, which decided to hold Dr. Adil in detention. Following a report filed by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari, who filed a cybercrime case against him, the FIA placed Dr. Adil under arrest on Tuesday.
Azma Bukhari officially complained to the FIA on July 27 about TV personality Dr. Omar Adil. According to the allegation, Adil defamed numerous female anchors and the chief minister of Punjab in a vlog. The aforementioned vlog was posted on Adil’s “Ganda Aandaa” YouTube channel.
