KARACHI: The News said on Monday that 5,960 criminal incidences from Karachi were reported in August, with snatching and stealing accounting for the majority of those incidents, according to a report from the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).
The CPLC report stated that there were 5,951 reports of cell phone snatching and theft of motorbikes, other vehicles, and other vehicles from Karachi last month.
According to the report, 23 cars were kidnapped at gunpoint and 150 cars were stolen. In addition, 3,385 more motorcycles were stolen and 656 motorcycles were taken in the port city.
During that time, 1,737 mobile phones were stolen from Karachi residents by robbers. The study also noted that six instances of extortion and three cases of kidnapping for ransom occurred in August.
