KARACHI: On Monday, the foreign airline made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, resulting in the official declaration of death for a sick passenger headed to Dhaka.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) stated that as the passenger’s health deteriorated, authorization was given for a medical emergency landing on the Sharjah-Dhaka flight.
The spokeswoman stated that upon examination, a doctor declared the 42-year-old Bangladeshi passenger dead. The aircraft departed for Bangladesh at 6 a.m. with the deceased on board.
Geo News was informed by sources with the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) that the flight G-9512 arrived at the airport with authorization from the air traffic controller (ATC) in Karachi. The aircraft was in route to Dhaka from Sharjah.
