As a Forward Observation Officer (FOO) in the Khem Karan Sector, Kasur, Captain Nazir Ahmed of the Medium Artillery Regiment, under the command of Brigadier A.R. Shamsi, was hit by an enemy bullet in his right eye. He accepted the role of a martyr while serving in combat.
