The National Anthem will now be played before every session and, for the first time, before assembly sittings, in accordance with the National Assembly’s structure, which is one of the major modifications the Punjab Assembly has announced to its legislative regulations.
The National Anthem will henceforth be played throughout assembly sessions, Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan announced, emphasizing that the reforms are intended to improve accountability and openness in the house’s operations.
The PA Speaker disclosed that, in an effort to increase efficiency and streamline procedures, the Standing Committees will now have the independent power to rule on public petitions. To provide improved scrutiny, budget expenditure data will be brought up in the assembly every three months.
