Pakistan’s economy is moving in the right way, according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director (MD) Kristalina Georgieva, who voiced optimism about the country’s economic trajectory.
Georgieva praised Pakistan’s government and people in a statement for the smooth execution of the IMF’s $7 billion loan program. She applauded the Pakistani government for its attempts to protect the most vulnerable citizens of the nation while simultaneously obtaining taxes from the wealthiest.
She emphasized that Pakistan is beginning to exhibit notable improvements, with its economy growing faster and its inflation rate declining.
Georgieva stated, “The government has made significant reforms, and the overall economic situation has improved.” She went on to say that these measures are essential to preserving long-term growth and economic stability.
