The Aga Khan Foundation and the Danish embassy signed a project agreement on Friday called the Sindh Coastal Resilience Integrated Programme (SCRIP), which aims to reduce climate risks and increase the resilience of coastal communities to climate change. Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable countries facing the brunt of climate change.
The project will concentrate on mitigating climate risk in coastal communities by utilizing the Aga Khan Development Network’s (AKDN) robust capability and current on-the-ground presence.
The project will use a human-centric approach in conjunction with strong partnerships with local civil society actors, government agencies, and academic institutions to implement affordable and pertinent solutions that will strengthen fragile ecosystems that are essential to human survival and sustainable development.
