ISLAMABAD: On the Peshawar-Islamabad highway in Attock, enraged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members tortured three police officers while riding in the convoy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The Punjab police officials who were injured in the event were stationed on a bridge that crossed the River Haro. When KP Labour Minister Fazal Shakoor heard that party members were torturing the police officers, he hurried to the scene to save the officers.
To avoid the fury of the PTI supporters, the minister initially led them to a building from which they were removed using a ladder.
The party activists, according to Shakoor, were adamant that they should receive the authorities, so he made sure they were safe.
