Or maybe competing in a global beauty pageant with the ultimate goal of starting your modeling career internationally.
For Choi Soon-hwa, the choice seemed obvious.
In an attempt to advance to the finals in Mexico later this year, the 81-year-old competed in Miss Universe South Korea this week with women a fraction of her age.
But the real query is: Why?
Shortly after leaving the stage, the former hospital employee told the news, “After raising children and going through hardships, it’s just two people left, and that’s when you need to find what you want to do.”
Once you’ve found it, it becomes your life’s force, fostering a more optimistic perspective and more positive interpersonal relationships, all of which contribute to your overall wellbeing.”
Modeling has been Ms. Choi’s dream job since a patient encouraged her to pursue it at the ripe age of 72.
She and her family had been on the verge of financial collapse for several years, but the comment gave her the courage to make the big move.
